　　if或whether引導(dǎo)的賓語從句

　　(1)  if或whether可引導(dǎo)賓語從句，此時(shí)從句部分的語義相當(dāng)于一個(gè)一般疑問句。如：

　　I want to know if / whether he is our new teacher.

　　我想知道他是不是我們的新老師。

　　(2) 連詞if和whether意為“是否”，在從句中不充當(dāng)句子成分，在口語中多用if。如：

　　Tom wonders if / whether his grandpa will come next week.

　　湯姆想知道他的爺爺是否下周過來。

　　一般情況下，if 和whether可以互換，但以下3種情況只能用whether：

　　① 在不定式前：Whether to go there or not hasn't been decided.

　　② 在介詞后：It depends on whether it is going to rain.

　　③ 與or not連用：They are talking about whether to go there or not.
