被動語態的形式及舉例

(1) 一般現在時：am/is/are done

The Great Wall is known all over the world.

長城被全世界所熟知。

(2) 一般過去時: was/were done

The city was liberated in 1948.

這座城市1948年被解放。

(3) 一般將來時: will be done

The matter will be disscussed tomorrow.

這件事明天再被討論。

(4) 現在進行時: am/is/are being done

The question is being discussed at present.

這個問題現在正在被討論。

(5) 過去進行時: was/were being done

The boy was being operated on when his parents hurried to the hospital.

當他的父母匆忙趕到醫院時，這個男孩正在被手術。

(6) 現在完成時: has/have been done

The bridge has been built this month.

這座橋這個月被建成。

(7) 過去完成時: had been done

The tickets had been sold out before I came to the cinema.

在我到電影院之前票就被賣光了。

(8) 過去將來時: would be done

He said the book would be returned as soon as he finished it.

他說只要他一完成就馬上還書。
