　　搭配錯(cuò)誤

　　英語介詞短語的搭配通常都是固定的，不能隨意變動(dòng)，但很多人經(jīng)常將相近的介詞短語混淆，由此帶來了很多搭配問題，比如：

　　(*) Recycling is a good way to manage waste despite of its cost.

　　(*) In accordance to your request, I am sending a copy of my book.

　　(*) The second hotel was far superior than the first one.

　　上面這三個(gè)句子都有介詞搭配問題。第一個(gè)句子是將despite something與in spite of something這兩個(gè)用法混淆了，正確的寫法應(yīng)該是：Recycling is a good way to manage waste despite its cost. 或者 Recycling is a good way to manage waste in spite of its cost .

　　第二個(gè)句子是將in accordance with與according to混淆，正確的寫法應(yīng)該是：In accordance with your request, I am sending a copy of my book.

　　第三個(gè)句子則是將be superior to與作比較時(shí)的be better than混淆，因此，正確的寫法是：The second hotel was far superior to the first one.

　　同時(shí)，不少人在使用介詞時(shí)喜歡“類推”，即用已經(jīng)掌握的介詞使用規(guī)則去推測(cè)新的用法，雖然這種方法在大部分情況下能奏效，但有時(shí)候會(huì)出錯(cuò)。比如你可能會(huì)根據(jù) I went to China when I was 15. 推導(dǎo)出 I went to there two years ago. 但正確說法應(yīng)該是：I went there two years ago.
