　　1、不可數名詞和復數名詞表泛指時用零冠詞

　　2、某些專有名詞，如人名、地名、國名、物質名詞、抽象名詞等表示泛指時前面為零冠詞。

　　China is a great country.

　　Mary lives in New York

　　3、名詞前已有指示代詞、物主代詞、不定代詞或名詞所有格等修飾時。

　　Every student likes English in our class.

　　4、用在表節日、日期、星期、節日、月份、季節等前面，但若特指某年的某個月或某年的某個季節，就要加the.

　　June 1 st is Children’s day.

　　Spring comes after winter.

　　That event happened in the spring of 1932.

　　5、稱呼和表示頭銜的名詞前用零冠詞

　　This is Professor Li.

　　What’s wrong,Granny?

　　6、三餐、球類及學科名詞前用零冠詞

　　I went to school without breakfast this morning.

　　He often plays basketball after school.

　　7、與by連用的交通工具名詞前用零冠詞。

　　By car;by train;

　　8、公共假日、節日名詞前用零冠詞

　　New Year’s day;Women’s Day

　　9、某些固定詞組

　　day and night ;face to face;side by side;step by step;in danger;in bed;in time;at noon/night/dawn;on duty/watch
